Ok here is the long story. Given how fast we were matched and how quick the whole process was going, we came up with a plan. The plan was to apply for a low interest or no interest adoption loan so that we had all the money we needed and thus allowing ample time to receive grants and hold fund raisers. We just didn't want to hold up the process while waiting on money. Sounds like a good plan right? WRONG! We received word today that due to lack of funds, the ministry we applied to would not be able to loan us the money we asked for. There was a few seconds of panic and then God spoke to me. He laid on my heart that we just need to get out of the way and allow Him to execute His plan. He also showed me how silly it is to say we trust in Him yet make plans to get money in case God doesn't come through on time. Touche Lord! He then reminded me that this whole process is His work, His doing and He will provide all of our needs. He then reminded me that His timing is perfect, never late, never early. He has provided everything we need to this point right when we needed it. Why wouldn't He continue to do so?
Thank you Lord for being so faithful. We are sorry for not trusting you and trying to take matters into our own hands. We know that all of our wildest dreams could come true and you can still do exceedingly more. We don't believe in miracles, we rely on them. Reference Ephesians 3:20.
We have been awarded a $5,000 matching grant so if we raise $5,000, it will become $10,000. That's awesome! God has it all under control!
