Still waiting!

It seems like we have been waiting forever. We have experienced, what seems to us to be, several unnecessary delays. We are so ready to go and get Jack and start loving on him and get him the surgeries that he needs so he can start catching up. He is sitting there waiting just as we are sitting here waiting. Why does this process have to drag out so long and have so much red tape? Leslie is "nesting" in a very bad way. You can imagine a mother's turmoil in being separated from her child. Throw on top of that all the thoughts of what children can experience in an orphanage, and you can understand why her heart is broken. But, we have no control over the situation, but we can get stuff ready for him, so that when he comes home, it is ready. She wants it to be perfect for him. So, we will be re-painting Jack's room and with the help of my two close friends, we built a headboard for Jack's twin bed (thanks Joe and Jim).

At this point, we are waiting for a document called an "Article 5". Once we have that, we then get to wait some more for our travel approval. We've been told that it could be two months before we travel. Please pray with us that it is not the case. Jack needs to come home! Sadly, the process has been going on long enough that we are now getting to the point that we will need to start re-doing some of our paperwork. :-(

On another note...CONGRATULATIONS to our friends the Chambers. They left yesterday June 9th to get their daughter, Iris, from China. We are praying for their safe journey and look forward to meeting Iris.

In following along with their travel process, we have seen that airfare is outrageously high right now, which really blows a huge hole in our budget. We were running a little on the short side anyway. We have faith that God asked us to join Him in this journey. He has provided everything that we've needed every step along the way. These high travel costs are no surprise nor an obastacle to Him. We trust that He will provide what we need. We would appreciate your prayer support on this topic as well.

Thank you for following along with us on this journey. I hope to be able to post travel dates soon.

Chris
