T minus 7 Hours

Hello Friends and Family,

Well, as many of you know, tomorrow morning, the 17th of November, Jack has his first palate repair surgery.  While we knew this was coming and are so blessed to be able to have this surgery performed for our sweet boy, we are still nervous and apprehensive for him.  Knowing that he will be scared and in pain is ripping my heart out already.  I wish there were a way for him to understand that this is only for his well-being and in no way a punishment or to be mean, or any other thing that a four year old who speaks little English and has only lived with us for 2 1/2 months might think. We love him so much and are thrilled  with the adjustment and attachment/bonding that has taken place so far.  He is an incredible little boy. We think he's wonderful.  Please be praying that God will annoint the hands and minds that perform this surgery.  Pray that God will protect Jack in every way and that he would take the pain and fear from our tiny, precious son.  We know that God chose this day to be the best day for this surgery and we are trusting in Him in every way.  Also pray for a peace for us and an ability to care for him when we bring him home that we would know is only from God.  Thank you all so much for being on this journey with us.  Have a wonderful day,
Leslie and Chris
