And...Off We Go!!

Dear Friends~

We left Jack's provice behind and we are thrilled!  We had two flights to get to Ghongzou, and the first one was Jack's first airplane ride. Yes, Jack was wanting to check out the sunglasses stand in the airport, so the girl indulged him and let him try on several pair before we put the kobash on it in fear he would break some. He sat in his seat between us and held our hands on the plane and was so braveja.  But as soon as the pilot pulled up and his tummy dropped he started to cry and reach for his mama.  I unbuckled him and wrapped him in my arms and he fell asleep for the rest of the flight.  Then we had a 40 minute layover.  The second flight he did the same thing then eventually let daddy hold him, too.  Then they fed us a meal (yuck!!) and he sat in his seat and ate like a big boy.  He is so brave!

 

We got to the airport and he did so well.  We were thrilled to already see familiar faces.  We had a 45 minute ride to the hotel with another sweet couple.  They gave me some tums and I am forever grateful!!  Jack fell asleep in my arms during the ride to the hotel, so by the time we got to our room he was wired!!!  And a bath does not help that at all as he loves to play like a wild man in the tub.  So, even though we now have a crib in the room and he slept in one for the last three years, he of course sleeps between us.  Oh well, there are worse things.  :)

 

The flight almost did me in, with the naseau and all.  I think I will feel better soon.  That's the plan, anyway!
