Day 2

Thanks to Mommy and Daddy being extremely wore out physically and mentally and troubles with Yahoo mail, the Gotcha Day post was a little late. My appologies and if you haven't see it yet, you might jump to the previous post and get caught up. Day 2 was a completely different day. We really had nothing that we had to do today. Jack went right down last night right between us and slept all night like a champ. He did tend to snuggle towards me throught out the night, so daddy had legs across his tummy or hands across the face throughout the night. But at one point, I got to pull him over against me with his head on my arm and snuggle him a while before I got out of bed this morning. That's one of my favorites to do with all my little ones and its the way my grandpa used to snuggle with me on the rare chance that I would beat him up in the morning. Anyway...we got to sleep in a little bit and then got dressed and headed to breakfast. The boy can eat! Then it was back to the room to make some calls and play a little bit. Sue came by about 11:00 to help us run some errands. So the four of us walked about 10 mins down the road to the market. Along the way, we stopped to buy Jack a new toy and some fresh baked cookies. The market was very interesting. First of all, it was underground. I thought we were going to get on some rail system and at the bottom of the steps was a grocery store. Like Leslie commented about it...so much the same, but so much different. We found some snacks for the boy, a couple necessaties, another toy, and some peanut butter, jelly, bread, Lay's potatoe chips, and diet Pepsi for mom! She is not digging the food here nearly as much as I am. So then with all the groceries, we had to take a taxi back. I made sandwhiches for everyone and started winding down for nap time at which point Sue left us so we could get a little rest. Little Jack ate and went down for a nap like a champ. He slept for two hours and we decided we needed him to wake up so we could sleep tonight. Shortly there after, Sue and Jackie came back with some of our paperwork. It was a sad visit as Sue has to leave Yinchuan to get back to her office. She has been incredible and we will miss her. Leslie shed some tears over that and the two shared several hugs. The rest of the afternoon was filled with playing. The three of us hung out in the room and played. The boy never stops! He is always moving, talking or singing. We typically have no idea what he is saying, but he is going to town. We got him to belly laughing today. It was so heartwarming and incredible. It just melts your heart. We played hard until bed time. The little bugger has no quit in him. We ate some supper and then it was bath time. Although we wouldn't let him do this at home, we just let him splash and have fun. Jack loves his baths and getting lotioned up afterwards. He is so funny to watch and is such an animated little guy. He is so smart...you do things once and he remembers. You could really see him bonding with us today. If I walked away today, upon my return he would come running and meet me with arms wide open for a hug. He likes to follow Leslie around as well. Anytime, we are on the go, he likes to be held of have the hand of at least one of us and preferably both of us. It is absolutely amazing how wonderful he is. We love him so much. So things are going really well. Thank you for all of your prayers and thoughts. We really appreciate them and are looking forward to being home with him so all of you can meet him. Well my wife and son have been asleep for a while now and I'm wearing down so it's time to close.
