Hello everyone. Things are still going well. We are wiped out from running all day and jet lag. Day 1 consisted of leaving at 8:30 for the Great Wall. We went the the Mutianyu section which is a little further away, but contains more of the original wall and typically has fewer people there. This started by walking through an area filled with vendors. We then took a cable car to the top of the mountain and then a short hike up to the wall. (Yes, I did get Leslie on the cable car...twice, but she was not happy about it)It was incredible. The view was magnificent. We then ate a group lunch at a restaraunt in a farming community near the wall, which I though was delicious...Leslie...not so much. The day ended with a tour of the oldest part of Beijing, called Hutongs. This included a visit inside the home of a local resident who happend to be a Kung Fu master and a rigshaw ride. It was a very interesting day. Here are a few pictures.

So glad you arrived safe and sound. Take in as much of the culture and views of China so you can tell Jack about his Beautiful Homeland. We are praying for God to ease his little heart so that his transition in to his Forever Family might be easier! We love you all and give Jack a big hug from us!
The previous post was from the Crazy wife and mother of the Hughes Family!!!!!
