Sorry for the delay in posts. We have been busy. Day two we got to go to the Pearl and Jade markets, which was a very cool experience. Turns out that Leslie can be quite the wheeler and dealer. I was very proud of her. Jack did pretty well with it since there wasn't much for him to do and it was kind of hot. When we got back to the hotel, we found the play room (sponsored by Matel). Jack played with all the toys and with some new friends. That is the best room in the hotel. The kids can run and play in a controlled environment and mom and dad can take a break and visit with the other moms and dads. Later we had a hi-tea or a late lunch with everyone in our group. Which pretty much filled us up for the rest of the day and Leslie found some food (besides breakfast) that she really liked. After hi-tea, we went shopping on the island with two other couples and again we practiced our bargaining skills and bought some cool items. Around 6 we split off from those couples as we had plans with another couple for dinner. We were still full from hi-tea, but went for the visit. After supper, the girls left for the hotel while the dads settled the bills. When I got back to the hotel, mom and Jack were in the bathroom. In a short time, Leslie was hustling down the hall with Jack in her arms crying. He had taken off running and had fallen and busted his head on the marble floor. We got some ice and they took us up to see the hotel physicians. They looked him over, asked him some questions in Chinese, and rubbed some smelly salve on his head and told us he was ok. So we watched him the rest of the evening and checked on him several times in the night. It turned out to be ok, but it had mom feeling upset and guilty. We were already dreading the next day as the second clinic visit was waiting for us and possible shots. We did hear of another little guy that was Jack's age that was caught up and didn't need any shots...so there is hope.
